The Iraqi Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi, who's a Sunni, was implicated in a string of assassinations and of leading a death squad that targeted police and government officials. The government ordered his arrest; he has since accused the prime minister of using the warrant as a ploy to consolidate power. So are the arguments that we've left Iraq better off, becoming harder to believe by the day? A recent Zogby poll shows 42% of Iraqis, say the country is now worse off. If it applied to foreigners only, the VAST majority of the US wouldn't give a shit, but since it applies to Americans it's an atrocious act.

In English law, high treason was punishable by being hanged, drawn and quartered (men) or burnt at the stake (women), or beheading (royalty and nobility).

This retired Colonel will most likely be arrested, (in secret), and detained forever because he is sympathetic to the enemy. (The new indefinite detention law will allow it).

I agree with him, most especially about why this is in the NDAA. It's because of OWS.

And here we were wondering if Obama was going to "side" with OWS. I guess we have our answer!

Tyranny is all the old people trying to survive the brutal Washington laws and policies while the well connected and rich live like ROYALTY. There is no excuse to allow anyone in America to accumulate tens of billions of dollars using the inside track by buying off politicians and getting laws and policies written to direct wealth their way. Politicians are now calling SOCIAL SECURITY CONTRIBUTIONS taxes. SS money taken from people all their work lives is not taxes, but vested contributions.
