@xTCHCx yup I used to say that all the time (esp the abandoned spaceship scene) until I got into some forum brawls where after a while I did have to admit that Alien also incorporate elements from "It! The Terror from Beyond Space" and other classical bug eyed monster films. More like he did a patchwork of a few ideas and his magical team (O'Bannon and H.R. Geiger) added that parasitic lifeform concept that's so effective.

Doing constant horrible remakes is part of the reason why today's movie industry is considered a joke by anyone who knows about cinema.
