  • Will it work for my 1tb hard drive?

  • @christianjosephtv sure thing. any size

  • But if I erase it I will lose all stuff thats in there?

    By the way, nice vid.

I have tried to connect my Buffalo external hard drive to my PS3, but it didn't show up, so if I re-format it to that MS-DOS (FaT) it will show up there?

  • @MrTrebla101 Well first I would check and see what format your drive is in. If it isn't in MS-DOS (FAT), I would advise you to copy everything onto your computer's hdd and then format the external and then transfer everything back afterwards. You will lose everything on your external if you format it, so you have to back it up. Thanks for watching, too.

  • Your subs are growing :D

Congratulations! You have balls of steel.

  • @Comosiem Haha. Thank you, Comosiem. You were like one of the first subs I had, now I have over 100.

    PLEASE HELP

  • Vid was a big help. Thanks!

  • Thanks for your simple explanation. After an hour of frustration trying to follow instructions on several of the techie sites, I followed yours and was ready to go in 20 seconds. Kudos!

  • Thank you so much!!! Ive been struggling for hours on my PC and it didnt give me the option of formatting it to FAT32(only NTFS). I plugged it into my mac and it only took 2 minutes. tops.,

  • @christianjosephtv I may be a little late, but regardless, you will be able to format your hard drive for MS-DOS(FAT). Unfortunately, you will not be able to transfer files larger than 4Gb to the hard drive. I imagine if you're using 1Tb this will be a problem. There are work-arounds, but it's more effort than it's worth.

  • @OSXLionTech hey man hope you can help me out, I'm about to buy an external disk (seagate or western digital my passport 1tb) I'm still trying to figure out which one is better mainly speaking of speed transfer, AND I'm also concerned because in the back of the WD case it says it's compatible with leopard and snow leopard, but it doesn't show Lion, I've read some reviews that say it's not compatible and some others that say it can be formatted, do you as a real user have the answer?

  • thanks, it worked. =D
