  • @darfunkelidas I totally agree with that, Tomas Miller is agreat musician and a badass bass player and he helped a lot to create that dark sound of the old SX. He now has a Youtube channel, did you know? and he's uploading his compositions. If you listen to them you'll notice the old SX escence. Well, I just have to repat that I miss so much the old SX, not the Powermetal they're making now. Too much overproduction. Like you said, the firt five albums were masterpieces from bottom to top.Cheers!

  • @SergioWW1WW2 I think the dark touch old Symphony X albums had was in great part because of Tom Miller. He and Romeo wrote the songs back then and he was the man behind some dark songs like Candlelight Fantasia and Lady of the Snow. And he was a badass bassist.

  • this guy is one of my fav keyboardists of all time. Along with Michael Romeo they've gotta be two of the top 5 musicians ever in the prog scene. I dont ever remember hearing many keyboardists play so melodic. Symphony X is very underrated unfortunately. Why is it that great musicians like this are not acknowledged, but bullshit like justin bieber gets such great ratings?

  • @DeathToNewbie I agree. I still like Symphony X, but they peaked with V and I think a big part of it was the keyboards faded away. You get glimpses of their old sound on Paradise Lost, but the first 5 albums were just amazing first to last track.

  • a true genius!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He is a handsome man with incredible talent in the greatest band of all time.

  • rudess is a god

but can he compose like this?

    i doubt it

  • nice this music is soo highpitched and psycadlic

  • @DrummerFromHeaven27 If you are serious xD, the second kb player of Dream Theater.

  • @DrummerFromHeaven27 Derek was the keyboardist who replaced Kevin Moore in Dream Theater back in 1994 through 1998, he also played with Alice Cooper and made solo stuff with Zakk Wylde.
