Vance and Hines Short Shots on my Sportster 883L

2007 XL883L with Vance and Hines shortshots staggered installed. $272.00 on E-Bay. Superb Bang for your buck. A rough loss of 4 miles to the gallon but overall its a great sounding and performing exhaust system, especially considering the price tag when compared to other pipes in the $400.00 range. @wrangomonger I didn't know Harley's were racing bikes! I have an 883 and I love it, what is the use of getting a biiger bike anyway. I am so sick of hearing this. My bike goes fast enough, I don't race the thing I just enjoy the ride.

@falcon1163 Hey Falcon, I definitely want to add a heavy breather to my short shots system but I was curious. Was the intake manifold part of the air cleaner kit or was it separete? You should post a vid of your wifes bike. I wanna see it! Also, did you put a fuel pak or power commander or the like on it or just have them adjust the stock ECM?

I just purchased some short shots for my 2011 48. So you say you didn't get a fuel pak right? You just had them dyno it and retune the stock ECM? It sounds real good for not having a fuel managment and stock air cleaner.

Did you also change out the air breather?? New exhausts let air out... you must let the air in. I just bought my old lady an '08 883 Sportster like this one. I put on V&H Short Shots exhausts just like these, then added the Screaming Eagle Stage 1 intake manifold and hi flow air breather. Had the dealer computer remap the fuel injection system. End result... a piglet that hauls ass, and gets better fuel mileage. If you lost that much fuel economy... something ain't right.
