  • My Dad used to play this. And I never appreciated it till I was grown. Now, it makes me cry and realize how much he loved me. I miss my Dad. He passed in 1991. Thanks Dad for the love!

  • My dad used to play this song for me when I was growing up, all the way from I was a little girl all the way up till he got sick. He was taken by the angels in January and even now at 20 years old I'm listening to this song and it makes me cry and miss him more. Thank you for posting it.

  • My dad used to play this to me as well. I just emailed it to my son who has a daughter. I appreciate the love and pain of parenthood.

  • My daddy pressed a dollar bill into my hand when I hugged him goodbye at the bus station as he was leaving to go back to his ship. He told me to buy this record. That was in 1967. I can not hear it without crying. Thank you for posting this.

  • This song makes me cry, thinking off my dad since my parents are divorced. Thank you Jimmy Dean for making this song. :')
