Any of the younger people who are trying to race a standard today needs to listen to this video very closely. This is how you shift. Nothing I hate more than some kid trying to race his GT Mustang lifting off the gas AND punching the clutch to the floor the whole way. Pedal to the floor, never lift... Maybe enough clutch to unload slightly... YANK and PUSH that shifter like you are trying to rip it out of the floor. GEEZ, back in the day people were breaking their arms if they missed a shift.

Ford didnt make mavericks til 1970. I know because i have a 1970, the 19th one to roll off the assembly line in the new model year sept of 69. It boggles my mind to see them in this video if the title states fords drag team of the 60's. Anyway this video is cool as hell and i am true blue ford hence my you tube name mavman 351 and yes, mine has a 351w in it. Go ford!

@1962Galaxie514ciMPFI SS/A?..WTH?..Go to a NHRA event and show me a ford running in it...Show me a ford running with the dart and barracuda hemi cars..the damn things are running 8.20s...just recently they had to be put into a class all their own because nothing could compete with them..and yes the weight restrictions were added to the hemis in Pro Stock I believe in 1972..
