This video utilizes Chief Seattle prophecy about how the greedy behavior of his conquerors would one day lead to planetary devastation. Since that same greedy man remains in power and has addicted his subjects with the same consumption disease...apocalypse is a strong possibility.

  • I agree that most of us have lost our connections to the earth, black, white and red....although at the time this was written it was directed at the crimes of those whites who was was raking havoc on Native Americans. Unfortunately, many of these same ideas of raping and taking in the name of the illusive manifest destiny has in fact made the prophecy come true. We cannot rewrite the history of the exploitation of the earth, but maybe we can change its future course.

  • This is my own way, thank U very much....and by the way

my point is quite clear....and it is of little important who stole

it from Adam, an claimed they wrote it....

  • i would like to say that the whit race was not always like this!! we were once strong like the native american peoples and knew that they had to respect their environment. and it should be known that no-one is perfect not even the native americans as it is sometimes believed.

  • Don't kill the messenger....

Listen to the words, take in the wisdom and act to change the world.

Because your criticism means absolutely nothing....

  • thumbs downed this one. stop trying to be cool and just recite what the man spoke.

  • It really doesn't mean much who wrote that. The fact is that it is true and of course that is a great wisdom....

  • the words you are using are not really from chief seattle. i agree with your point about greed and consumption, but you should either credit the screenwriter, Ted Perry, who wrote this, or come up with your own way to make your point!
