  • I'm not familiar with the storyline...please tell me this happens at the end of the second movie...so we can have two whole movies with Richard Armitage!

  • @Starbucksgirl64: If Peter Jackson sticks to the script Richard should be going to ending of Part 2 and will be a very busy boy throughout!

  • @TeeVeeNZ Not to sound so jaded, but could Jackson not have fit this story in one film? I understand the profit-minded element behind his decision to make this into two films, but by and large, The Hobbit was lightweight in content in comparison to any of the 3 LOTR books on their own. I'm wondering how they're going to pad out the rest of the story in order to expand this into 2 separate films.

  • @jstephenj: I recall People Thought PJ was going to make a hash of LotR

but He surprised them. If He wants to do two movies then I think that's OK.

It is in the end just a film. if he makes a turkey then someone else will have a crack at it.

  • @rebreh1029 not that i didn't read the book myself but did you really have to remind me of that ? i like to be a little bit surprised by the plot in the film that's why i won't read it again this year

  • @ladrynka Pour mad person :) Read the book if you don't like spoilers :D

  • @AffigesEtwas You right. People just have to read the book - which is not even a long one.

  • I'm curious to see how Peter Jackson adapted that story..

  • If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. But, sad or merry, I must leave it now.

    Farewell.

  • @fuschiabamonte and all their little ponies are eaten by goblins too...

    ...oh sorry, spoilers...

  • SPOILER ALERT

Don't forget in the book Kili and Fili also die in the battle of the five armys.

Thorin was there uncle on their mothers side and they fell defending him.

So childrens book or no if Peter Jackson does it according to the book there will be a lot of sadness in the end as befits the true nature of war. Fuschia Bamonte

  • This such an iconic scene and it is going to be so fucking TRAGIC in the movie,!

  • OMG does the Titanic sink???!??!?
