Everybody always handles this kind of thing the wrong way. If you took the car back and showed them where they missed, without being a douchebag to them, they will likely repair it for you. But yeah, what do you expect for $600. I got mine painted at Maaco for about the same money and was damn pleased.

Why are you guys dumping on this guy...??? because he comes from another country...?? That's disgusting. He is FULLY within his rights to complain. He was NOT given what he was promised. He should SUE Earl Scheib for fraud and/or negligence (i.e. breach of contract). They should refund his money AND cover his costs to have their garbage removed from the car. Period.

You have to tell them what you want done.If you want a base coat of prime then specify it. schieb uses special paints applied in one coat. this is the economy paint job for people like you who are too cheap to pay more money for the higher quality services.Ok you paid 599.99 . stillthe economy service A high quality paint job will cost you about a thousand dollars.This is the starting point 1000.00 your idiot for taking a show car to them for a 99.99 job.

Sorry if I offended anyone but when I was in California I was only 21 years old and I knew Earl Scheib's was a damned rip off then. There are certain things that are facts of life and one of them is that you can't trust an autobody shop that promises to paint your vehicle for $99.99. All it takes is a sentence or two on your favorite search engine to find out if a place is reputable or not.
