Aliens have invaded Earth, and our only hope lies with 8-year-old Bobby! With the help of an odd assortment of items, he'll save the planet and his friend Melissa who was kidnapped by the blobs for no particular reason...

I made this PC game sometime around the year 1996 with the help of a program called "Game-Maker" by Recreational Software Designs (not to be confused with other game making software with similar names). This two-part video walkthrough demonstrates the gameplay.

The nonsensical plot hints at the random nature of the game. Where else will you find flame throwers, skiing, spaceships, plasma guns, and weight lifting all in the same game?

  • Ahh. I had this gamemaker program back in the day. Not very good for creative games because it's very limited on the amount of things you can do, for insance, make an enemy shoot or throw projectiles at you. Plus the characters and mosters can only be a couple blocks tall.

  • @TheWaynelds Do you still have any games you made? A prolific game maker nicknamed "aderack" is making a G-M wiki cataloging every game ever made with the program. Look for him here on YouTube or do a search for "The Game-Maker Archive". :)

  • @MikeMazeguy nope. my dad took the hard drive with my games on it out of that computer a long time ago to do something with it and he doesnt know where it is anymore. I have a couple unfinished games i did with the better version of game maker though.

  • @TheWaynelds In any case, it's always nice to hear from a fellow game-maker. :)

  • I bought the CD release of RDS Game-Maker :) I was ~10 years old at the time? Had a grand time with it, despite the huge number of limitations.

  • @sctriplefox It's always nice to hear from a fellow Game-Maker! Do you still have any games you made with the program?

  • @sonicworms7221 Yeah, different software. DOS games have a certain innate charm to them.

  • these games look batter them most of the Crap uploaded to yoyogames

  • The sequel has Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" and The Monkees' "I'm a Believer" as its ending music. :D

  • Wait, I also just noticed in the top secret place the song was jaws! XD
