16.1 million was the number of just the U.S. armed forces personnel who served in World War II between Dec. 1, 1941, and Dec. 31, 1946.

@Mungbot2006 (2)im fully aware that american schools have propagandised very well their kids about the world war.u had many rsons for that.and no...u couldnt take berlin.u just barely managed to deal with some thousands germans.u were providing supplies and backing up uk.a secondary place..a minor place.thats what u were.my gdad was a sniper killing 500-600 germans per month(i have a whole collection from nazis helmets and medals that my gdad stole)and he told me that americans never fought

@Mungbot2006 u saw the movie of tom hands saving private ryan and u think that rly happened.ill tell u this cause u seem very naive(typical american)invasion in normandy was designed by hollands and greeks.greeks provided 1500 thousand trnsaport ship(!)u know who payed 4 all that?ONASIS.u know onasis?(he later got killed by cia)usa back then was a tiny little winnie minor player.u sended just supplies with OUR ships.u were pined down in ardenes by german artilery trying to give supplies.

And to counter your bullshit about taking Berlin, maybe if you researched a bit you'd discovered that the Americans would've been first to Berlin, but were told to stop so that the Soviets could take Berlin for revenge!
