Bathurst Phase III Dupont Bridge Aug 05 09

Aug 05-09: Bathurst St is to be open to 2 way traffic on Aug 20, allowing route 7 to return to normal routing.The road is opening up 6 months ahead of schedule, but the work on the bridge is not finish.

The east side sidewalk is close with work still to take place on the retaining wall yet. Traffic most likely be a single lane going north until the work is finish. Once completed, it will move to the west side.

TTC tracks are in with paving still to take place for the north bound lane. TTC still has to string the overhead for the north bound track.

Hillcrest will be happy as they will not have to back streetcars to or from it like it has these past few months.

St Clair cars will return to their home base.

You can see how much the road was drop by looking at where it was and where it is now. 2-3' drop.

All the steel bracing at the base of the columns as well have way up were replace with new material. There is a concrete casing around the columns that is wider and higher than what was there before. Crash barriers will be on either side of the bridge and this is new.
