The Food Web
This Movie is about different trophic levels that make up the food web. Beginning with primary producers, which are autotrophs that make their own food through photosynthesis. They are the first level of the food web and provide food for all other trophic levels. Next are primary consumers who eat primary producers. These organisms are herbivores and heterotrophic. Following is the secondary consumer level, which are omnivores and eat both primary producers and consumers. Above the secondary consumers is the trophic level of tertiary consumers. This level eats animals lower in the food chain and are mostly carnivorous. An issue affecting the food web is the 10% rule. Of the energy that is utilized by a given trophic level, about 10% of it reaches the next level, but most of the energy escapes as heat. When you are higher in the food chain you create more waste. Solution: Eat your legumes!

How have humans impacted the system you talk about in this video? "food web" actually refers to the fact that there are decomposers involved too.
