I think people nowadays prefer to be "moderate muslims" because that way they get to enjoy Dunya (this world) and not feel guilty; they keep telling themselves they do still believe in Allah, the creator.

However, if you believe in the creator you must also follow what he's asked you to do - its like saying you love your mother but you're not going to follow anything she asks you to do.

We cannot say what Allah will forgive, Allah knows best.

This debate is very important and relates globally to Muslimsespecially in the west and in Australia where people chase their desires and forget the truth of Islam.

Sharukh Khan is being a fence sitter, saying that it's ok to do this, not wear the hijab, not pray...The truth is that people like this show is that they distracted by the dunya and what it offers. Saying that it's "OK" to neglect your Islamic duties means they choose this life over the hereafter.

This to me is as clear as day.

Shahrukh Khan is a disgrace to all muslims. And apparently since his wife is a hindu, he has an idol at home, which he worships and teaches his children to do as well. Then how does that make him a muslim? I do not understand. And he calls himself a moderate muslim? What does that mean anyway? Like honestly, I actually feel bad for this guy and pray that Allah (swt) guide him to right path.
