first off don't use fallacies to try to prove a point it is counter productive in the attempt of having an intelligent conversation. And us "Gun Nuts" as you'd like to call us wont be happy till everyone has the right to choose whether or not we can walk around with a semi-automatic rifle, not an assault riffle which is a term that was conjured up as a scare tactic. Lastly if fight guns with more guns is stupid then how stupid is it to fight guns with knives. My gun is only a threat to bad guys.

You say changes, i say ADDITIONS. There is a difference amigo. We arent going around changing our unalienable rights, we simply add them to the BoR when some douche loses all common sense and tries to infringe on said rights. Know your history, NO Amendment has ever been changed except for #18 with regards to prohibition. Not saying I'm immune to anything. You aren't immune to having someone shoot you or your family because you don't own a firearm. I take the needed precautions to make sure that my family members are safe does that mean it won't ever happen no but it does put me more in control of it. It is America's decision to a degree but the minute you tell what I can or can not do or have it becomes a dictatorship not a democracy. I think you need to move if you don't like guns. The fault in your argument arrises when you say re-elected. The fact of the matter is that the government is subject to the people and their vote, impeachment trumps any term length. Do government officials commit crimes? Yes. Are the hundreds of millions of guns owned by US citizens able to stop that?
