Why don't creationists start calling people who actually believe the ridiculous theory of gravity, "gravitationalists", or "Newtonianists"? No, its only evolutionary theory that they attack, for the simple reason that evolution threatens their religious beliefs, while other scientific theories do not. And they have no problem reaping the benefits of modern science while at the same time attacking anything that might prove that the bible is just an old book of myths, nothing more. Hypocrites.

@davidsfriend01 kThere aren't too many flat-earthers out there anymore, but there are a lot of creationists who believe the universe was created in 6 days. Besides, most creationists can more easily get around the gravity theory than they can evolution. Evolution directly contradicts the biblical creation story, while gravity does not.

@8698gil "No, its only evolutionary theory that they attack, for the simple reason that evolution threatens their religious beliefs, while other scientific theories do not." Actually, the Theory of Gravity does tend to play merry hell with the flat earth of the Bible. Atomic Theory doesnt look too great either. Or, I spend more time actually thinking about things than the average theist.

@8698gil If I call myself an evolutionist, then I suppose I have to call myself a gravitationalist, geosphericist, DNAist, atomicist, electromagnetospectralist, platetectonicist, etc. Maybe a better term would just be rationalist, and be done with it.

There's a new religion in the world called "Kopimism".
"In Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V we trust"
Filesharing is an official religion in sweden.
I wonder what their creation story will be and what kind of creationism they start to advocate for? :)

Thank gods I'm an atheist. I cannot believe people of intellect can succumb to the raw stupidity of religion. It truely numbs the mind. I speak from experience.
The supernatural are things that contradict nature. However we can easily say that nothing contradicts nature, only our limited understanding of it. So a "supernatural" event could in fact be a natural event that we currently don't understand.

@MisterTutor2010 I wholeheartedly agree. I can imagine "germs" which cause sickness or disease at one time being thought of as supernatural (e.g. "demonic forces"). But, of course, germs are a very natural part of our world are no more an infusion of demonic activity than is a bug in a computer program.
