a few of the pictures here are family and such, but nearly all of the people are fellow original songwriters from the cleveland, ohio and the cuyahoga falls, ohio, song writers circles. it is always rewarding to attend meetings with either group, where whomever has a new song for the month performs it, hands out lyric sheets, and we discuss the work. it has provided so much pleasure for so many of us. thanks to each of them, chuck.

If my wallet looked as pretty as your fancy hair, Id kinda be some kinda fine
Millionaire. If I could dance half as good as you smell, theres no telling
But I might be the next Fred Astair.
If my car was as fine as the curve of your back, Id be driving to you in my new
Cadillac. With its top folded down, wire wheels spinning round as Im cruising
as Im choosing you.
(CHORUS) You win hands down if this is a race. Youre faster than me with a
prettier face. Youre running on beauty and grace and appeal. Im running to you
with a heart you can steal.
If I was as handsome as you always look, theyd put my picture in a good looking
Book. Id be there on pages two, six, eight, and ten, and Id show you those pages
Again and again.
(Chorus again)
If Id pass a test with a golden A Plus, every time Im a mind of lovers like us
Id earn my degree, university, majoring in loving and hugging and stuff.
(Chorus again)
If I had a nickel for every old time I thought about you in my little old mind
Id buy you a space ship. Wed circle the Earth, and after weve landed and
Seen where we went, wed know every dream had been worth every cent.
Well gather such moments and savor like wine, those old silver nickels in our
Loving mind, and when the race ends and we see what weve spent, well know
Every dream has been worth every cent.
hi there martin. real nice to hear from you. from reading e mails it sounds like the cleveland group is starting to get attendanace back up again. i hope so. the last three meetings i made, there was usually only cuyahoga joe, J. arlis and myself. glad also that they are back in former talkies, good location. hope to hear an original from you sometime soon. peace and love, chuck.

Chuck, you have a talent for writing very descriptive lyrics, they provoke all kinds of images in my mind. The 'if my car was as fine as the curve of your back' really struck me. That's just one line in the song, there are many others. :) Great song.
I too am a cat person. I have two feral cats that recently took up residence in my yard, and I've been feeding them. One day, maybe I can pet them. :) They're not to that stage yet, may never be, but they're fun anyway.

hi janet. whenever possible, it's best to handle kittens while they are still young. then they imprent onto you a bit. usually if they weren't handled young they are slow to make up to that.
yes, i enjoy these kinds of silly, fantasy songs, but it's not always easy to come up with the idea. it's weird though, where song ideas come from. i also get a kick out of reading about famous hit songs that were never expected to go anywhere. a lot of so called B sides turned out to go "A", chuck.

Back again, having an evening listening to a few favourites while working. I didn't mention on my earlier comment that it is nice to see a few more pictures than one. Take care and give my regards to your family/extended or otherwise. Pete.

hi pete, thanks for the re-listen. these are a lot of the members from two song writing clubs i belong to in the greater cleveland area. i enjoy the meetings very much. lovely groups of people with some interesting songs performed from time to time. was wondering if you have similar clubs in your own area, chuck.
