  • hi very nice masn. npw will you please share the schematics for tha making of the drum? how thick are the layers of fiber glass? where or how did you make that mold? how did you get the fiber glass in there? please help i want to make my own congas for i dont have the money to buy new congas

  • Hi, zapz

Don't do this for money, because make your own drum is most expensive than a buy a new drum...

No specific shema, it's handmade, the thick is around 8mm to 12mm.

You will find info on the forum "congaplace"

  • @congalou

what do you mean? making my conga is more expensive?

  • Yes, making a mold, buy the resin, the mask, the brushes, all the tools you need is expensive. It could be interesting if you have a fiberglass workshop, but if you don't have, like me, it's more expensive. For this one, It cost me around 600-800 euro. Maybe more !.... But, now, I have the tools I need for fiberglassing. That's why I invest money. I don't want to discourage you, I'm prefer to be honest.

Hardware is expensive too, if you want to do it buy yourself, you need welding machine.
