@karbonesh You're right, in some respects! Les Paul didn't like the guitar so he asked for it not to be named after him. It was called a Les Paul only shortly. So they just named it SG, which stood for 'Soild-body Guitar' if I'm not mistaken. I watched a video about it somewhere...
