Sponsor: http://NHLibertyEssay.com - Technically this jail boss is a "superintendent," but the word doesn't fit well in YouTube's tiny title box. In any case, his prisoner is a man jailed for refusing to turn off camera, held over a month for refusing to give name.

  • I thank god everyday for people like Sam.

  • Pretty clear, they dont want cameras becuase they want to hide their unconstitutional corruption.

  • Even up to the early 1900's the majority of people sentenced to a crime were named John Doe. They of course were released once their term was up. There are no Constitutional laws stating that you must offer your given name to any legal entity.

  • If Sam's ribs are showing, will the NHSPCA come and take Sam away from Van Wickler?

  • Find a good lawyer who will take the case pro bono and sue the pants off these Keene idiots. You cannot hold someone for nothing like this. It's against your civil rights. I object to my tax dollars being used in this fashion.

  • I can't believe he is still being detained. Under what charges? Filming in a court house?

  • Ah, what a nice Jail Superintendent... NOT! What a piece of trash. He sees that Sam is doing a good thing for the cause, but still he holds him. He doesn't comment on the real situation: That he is illegally holding a man for refusing to surrender his Constitutional rights. If he released Sam, he might lose his job and he might even be imprisoned himself in his own jail. But the justice he's capable of doing would be done. Instead, it's "Befehl ist Befehl," as usual with corrupt authority.

  • I support Sam not giving his name

The historical stance is that a mans name is his property and is not subject to authority. Ulysses/Odysseus was not quick to give his name to strangers nor was Abraham Isaac/Israel or Joseph

In English lore Robin Hood and Ivanhoe held their names as their own and chose who to share them with

Even King Richard Lion Heart guarded his identity

In English mythology Gimli was ready to loose his head rather than reveal his name to a Horse Lord with a charge of men

  • I briefly met him at the liberty forum. Like a fanboy, I was happy I did. I never thought that I would meet one of those figures who have the potential of changing the world so radically.

  • excellent stuff ridley!

keep us updated, im very interested to see where this goes.

  • Excellent report Dave. Thank you for the follow up. We are not forgetting Sam and what he is doing. I hope that this is resolved soon. Maybe a push to gather the cash bail for him is in order?
