  • I thinks it's bad that tabs are short and are not connected to second place. This will create power loses because of high resistance in cell conductor. In modern cells there are two bus bars to reduce resistance and power loss. In some cells there are even three bus bars. With such high price of cells it is not a good idea to save money on bus wire.

  • please tell me that you solder all of your connections before you finished this thing. other than that keep trucking on. i use a 30watt soldering iron for my many panels, mainly to reduce micro cracks. if you hear a crunch while soldering, thats what it is. use just enough heat to make the solder connectiong strong.

  • don't you think a small 65w iron would work better than that torch. I would be afrid of causing heat damage to the cells. The 65w would give a cleaner joining as well

  • Looks good so far.. Keep on jamming on it!
