I had an 89 that somehow managed to get the wrong motor put in it...The motor had been bumped in an accident and blew the oil pan, shot a piston out of the hood...rods were bent, and a new motor was expensive, I see the 383 sitting in the corner of my garage collecting dust and figure...what the heck?
THAT was a fun ride, hauled newspapers with it in st louis, never once had an issue with it.

I have a 93 GMC Safari with the 4.3L (vin W)CMFI engine. It is fun to beat the crap out of, and accellerates from a coast like a jet. I get a little nuts at times, and do burnouts in snow, and rain. The only problem with that CMFI engine is it costs big bucks to fix.

Astros are nice. Get it with 4 wheel drive and it`ll do fine in snow. Ever looked at a Ford Aerostar??? No they are slugs and uglier than any other car in the world *muhaha*!

my mom had a blue 1989 checy astro. of course never did any of that. got totalled in a crash 2 weeks birthday my 4th birthday in 1997
