J.J. Abrams was just 13 and in the screening room when his father Gerald W. Abrams produced the Orginal Star Trek movie in 1979, screened the movie for studio execs. Events have come full circle in 2008 as J.J. Abrams presented Star Trek XI in the same screening room to modern day Paramount execs. In this clip he sets up the new movie, as the new trailers are released worldwide.

Just got back from an early viewing 00:01 May 7 2009 GMT at the London, UK IMAX.

For only the second time since I attended movies (first was Unforgiven,) the audience applauded at the end. Great fun; loved the new Scotty, Uhura, Kirk and Spook in that order. Hope you enjoy it when you see it.

one thing stood out in this film... the overuse of his full name... James Tiberius Kirk, unlike the series where we rarely heard his middle initial being used let alone his full name.

i wonder if there are plans to release a directors cut...

it would be nice to see how those shipyard "teaser" parts fit in.

over all i was very impressed with this film... i must have been, i payed to see it three times. well done.

ok lolz one late thing i got to mention was why have the buzzards the same colour as the ones of the Dauntless's warp engines lolz i mean this isint the Dauntless man this is the fricken ENTEPRISE for peepsake DX soz to be so rude but this just irritates me.

Omg , saw the movie , ... i never eaven heard about star trek before (yes but i'm only 14 years lol xD) , And i was BLOWN away by it Ö I never had seen such cool characters, cool special effects and soooo coool story line Ö Fav movie ever, !!!!

At 6:16 the interviewer says he's excited about seeing the trailer... i have RARELY seen an "entertainment reporter" so less enthused - so uninterested and unenthused during and interview. He never looks as if he knows what he's talking about.
