Some small arrangements using a Virus TI2 Desktop in multi timbral mode. This is NOT dance things but more soft style. The goal is to see how much sound i can squeeze out of one TI2 before i run out of polyphony. If the arrangements is VERY simple you can do it IF you stick to low poly presets. Ex the new Rotary FX eats tons of poly but damn its a good rotary FX. Virus TI2 keeps its nr 1. position as hardware synth with the new Chorus and Rotary FX.

  • Fuckin' sync errors.. I have them aswell.. do you know a solution already?

  • @stommenhond Well the reason i got the sync errors was mostly due to the video capture program. But yes, sync errors do occur from time to time. Virus is very selective about which USB port it likes and which cables. You can try invest in a Network USB server and move some USB connection away from the main system to free up the power needed. Note.. not all things work on a Network USB server.

  • Hi Mike ..could you tell me what is going on here..seems unlikely that you are playin in real time..does the software function as a sequencer..or something ...how do you know the amount of polyphony you are using & have available? thanks.

  • @guitarharpsichord The Virus TI is connected to my Computer via USB. Inside Cubase (Sequencer) i can choose between presets on 16 midi channels. I create some presets, assign each preset a midi channel and then record the midi notes inside the sequencer. When notes starts cutting of i know i have reached the max polyphoni for playing those presets together. That said i usually try to make the presets sound great without use of too much polyphon, meaning less advanced functions used on the TI.
