Me i work on the River Danube it's in europe and the size of one barge here is 70 m x 11 m up to 2500 t

I road the MV John Donnelly many times from 91 to 93 along with the MV Alice I. Hooker . The Capt. of the John Donnelly first name was Harold and he pushed 76 barges on the lower Mississippi up to the Vickburg bridge then split tow with the Eileen Bigalow .

@creetybo -Recently too, right? Been having a lot of work done on it in the last several months, most of it at Wickliffe. I wasn't able to go this trip.... maybe next trip but it isn't looking like it.

how big is that boat? i work in the harbor at st.louis but i used to work for united barge line/ teco/ mid south... all the same company though you probebly know that. i worked there for almost 5 years and never road one of the big boats. i road the sam latrico for a while when the boat i was on got tied up. it was a 6800 but not a triple screw. my home boat was the sylvia h a 2800 hp and we stayed on the ohio most all the time except for a few short slow trips to cora or kellogg on the upper.
