The guy usually stops once he knows there is no hope. If he continues, then politely say you are busy and can't text right now or that you don't like texting back and forth. or do what the previous ppl said to do. Hope it works out for you. If it becomes too much of a problem, just block him or lie and say that your mom doesn't want you texting or being on fb a lot anymore so you wont be able to text or chat.

If its a guy, ask him if he has a crush on you, just be blunt. If he says Tbh, yes... Then let him know that he is an amazing friend and that you want to continue being his friend but you don't find him attractive, and don't want to be anything more. Guys do this when they have a serious crush on a girl cuz they are extremely gorgeous but the guy doesn't see himself ever being loved back by the girl bc the guy places the girl on a pedestal, and so they just text her.
