Choronzon - Surge of Blood - Damnatus OST

The creators of the film Damnatus have been in negotiations with Games Workshops over the non-profit release of the film over bittorrent. Apparently, due to a detail of German copyright law, GW have decided to disallow distribution after giving them permission to make the film four years ago.

Yes! I signed the petition and have been encouraging everyone to do the same. GW don't see what an honor it is that such a creative and talented group has made such a monumental tribute.

GW don't want live actors since they have rights and they can in turn sue GW. GW doesn't want to get sued because they're a corporation and that's how corporates are, no matter how human they are, they're not bound by morals, but by money. They movie , if they make one , should be purely CGI, i know there are money issues but thats the only way they can get the space marines , tyranids, the lot to look like they really would. they should use the same grafics as the dow2 trailer, that would be awesome.

If I was holding the GW reins I sure as hell wouldn't be handing out the movie rights of my franchise to these people; reasonable quality for a fan film but way below par for anything that might be considered a bankable commercial product. I expect the main reason GW haven't released a movie is funding; whether you opt for an FX driven live action or pure CGI, it takes an awful lot of time and money to bring a movie to completion. Unfortunately in Europe that kind of funding is hard to come by
