In 100+ years time historians will look back at this as one of the single worst financial descisions in our entire history. In old times measures this drastic were used to fund wars when we were on the brink of crisis. Brown and his socialist cronies simply squandered the proceeds of this sell off.

In times past a King would have been hung for such chronic mismanagement. I hope wehn the economy finally collapses Brown is brought to trial for this.

Yeah it was quite seemless, no one put up much of a fuss as the country was being destroyed, I think it is the citizens fault.

Brown did it to buy Euro's and to help some banks buy back gold at a low price. Basically the most corrupt man ever in office in the UK, Unemployment Brown, sold off the UK's gold at a deliberate low price in order to help the Eurozone and a few of his banking friends. Brown's aim was to destroy the UK, put kids on streets and enrich his corrupt friends in Fred Goodwin and the EU. Gordon "unemployment "Brown..a very cruel and unhappy man.

AIG and NM Rothchild bullion bank were shorting gold. The market was turning and they were getting squeezed. They needed the price to drop so they could get out of their positions. Enter Gordon Brown.

Given the bankers have more money than there is in the world, what plans do you think they have for the UK if they would expose themselves to squeeze a paltry 400 tonnes of gold out of the treasury
