Best of Austin Top Ten Winner
-Audience Award (audience's pick for best film)
-Best of Austin Runner Up
-Best Cinematography
-Best Locations (some madeup 'everyone gets an award' bullshit)

(If you're wondering, yes, the judges basically screwed us over. Wasn't edgy or "indie" enough to lack narrative finesse for their Austin tastes like the winners. Oh, well.)

But enough of that, I'm just being a sore loser. The best, in truth, to the winners!

In 2023, a dystopian society sees its first citizen to make a run for a perceived freedom from the censorships of the state beyond its fenced-off borders. Created for the 2009 48 Hour Film Project Austin, made entirely in Dallas.

Starring: Tyler Hiott, Trevor Gitlin
Executive Producers: Michael Stettler, Greg Cotten
Producer: Andrew Adams
Director: Benjamin Davis, Ben Adams
Director of Photography: Ben Adams, Greg Cotten

  • While I thought this was well done, despite some rather poor and over dramatic acting IMO, I was a member of another team during the 48 HFP in Austin last year. Didn't Exit receive "Runner Up" and not this?

  • That was so good. Please make a sequel.

  • WOW.

    That was intensely amazing.

  • Loved it! Nicely done, I see you went back to the traditional atomic style here! WAH HOO!!! I honestly didn't know if you could pull off sci fi, but I like it!

  • "cos I'm F'''ing Al Pacino!" - despite me having that classic line running through my head throughout some scenes, I really enjoyed this :)

Another great 48-hour film from Atomic, good job guys :)

Thinking about making a film myself in 24 or 48 hours but no similar contests to the ones in US coming up here in small Sweden :P Might make one anyway ;)

Again, good job - keep up the good work!
