I read about this glider years ago in The Colditz Story. I believe they still wanted to try it out despite being rescued. Amazing ingenuity.

@MrStillmans Ah but the G-Convention prob wouldnt allow that. I liked how they were going to launch it with a bath tub of concreat droped out of the roof or as I heard from another sorce down the chimney stack. They built a false wall in the attic so when the goons cheked they just saw an empthy attic. Hope you enjoyed anyway
