@SAYWATIWANT dude i'm not disagreeing with you here but you added sodium bi-CARBONate to the water so i guess you could be producing hydrogen and oxygen bound to carbon with the sodium left behind as a sediment??? just trying to be constructive and nice tutorial :)

@SAYWATIWANT The carbon is in the Sodium Bicarbonate. NaHCO3.
With high voltages the Sodium Bicarb splits more readily than at low voltages.

This isn't a hydrogen fuel cell, it's just a hydrogen generator. A fuel cell would convert the hydrogen back into electricity.

hey, how will energy be produced in there, u just got hydrogen in there.......u need to get oxygen in there to get energy.............

good guitar

Why do you need stainless steel? I though SS is the least conductive of all the metals, compared to silver which is the best conductive.
Would it also work with copper?
You also need to show how to harness that energy. It's not enough to make it - how then do you convert it to energy to run a motor or something else.

hey thanks for the great design! how do you use this to create electricity?

Thanks for the Vid man, if only they would teach this stuff to kids, maybe we'd have more Stan Meyers out there.
FYI, Amps carry the heat, not Volts. ideally you want maximum voltage and minimum current to keep it cool, as with overhead power cables etc. Heat shouldn't be a problem with a 9V cell because they can't unload much current, say maybe 5Amps.. A 12V car battery however has the potential to discharge hundreds of Amps (engine starter motors can require up to 1000Amps to crank the shaft!)
that is carbon monoxide you're making, not hydrogen. be very careful.

@allebb where is the carbon to bond with the oxygen to make carbon monoxide????????? get real

I'm a hot glue fan myself, although if things like this produce massive heat, that could be an issue.

the thing is they dont, only the HHO cells that use 12v or higher produce heat. As long as you keep the volts low and the amps high there's no heat issue. A 9v battery is nothing to worry about
