Irregardless of whether or not a God "exists" I think is irrelevant to religions as a whole. The bible is a quite interesting book and tells stories which can be interpreted in many number of ways. There are certainly good values to be learned from these stories, be they true or not.

You're right on Jackie, as a Christian growing up I've seen how disgusting this world has gotten trying to tear apart everything Christian, and yet nobody ever does anything or seems to care.

You need to ask God to show you the truth and give you understanding before you read the bible. If you want the truth of Why we are here? What is our purpose? Try this ..Pray ..just ask..God if your real then show me. Better still use his name Jehovah. Take in the knowledge with an open mind and god will take the veils from you eyes.
