Successful deployment of the 44066/Texas Tower 4 NOAA weather buoy. It sits close to the location of the original Texas Tower 4 structure which served as an early Homeland Security station in the Atlantic acting as an early warning system against potential Soviet attack. A terrible noreaster in 1961 toppled the structure with 28 servicemen aboard. The naming of the buoy is a memorial to their sacrifice and a testiment to all those who serve our country. The sea condition data it provides daily to mariners will make traveling the ocean a bit safer.

My hat is off to any US Coast Guard or US Navy personnel involved in this magnificent achievement. Where the hell are the Air Force representatives? It was the Air Force who screwed up and lost those brave 28 people on TT4.
