Practice session at home : real-time beat making w/ distortion cutting (no loop or programmed patterns) using personal turntable adapted techniques on Handsonic HPD-15. (N.B.— The routines obtained here were partly inspired -- in their hand "handling" and positions -- by turntablists like Qbert and D-styles. Although nothing can rival real vinyl manipulation by experts, a personal adaptation of these techniques on Handsonic makes imagine new ways in real time electronics.) ... see also http://www.youtube.com/handsonic1

  • Hey man. Does the handsonic produce that distorted feedback tone too?

  • Hi! ... for the "distorted feedback" I also used a Kaoss Pad (KP2) to extend the sounds I made in the Handsonic... so it's 1 distortion cascading into another... All the best... F.

  • nice job, sounds awesome... i really want to get a handsonic, what do you think i should get? 10 or 15?

  • ... Thanks! ... sorry for the "1 month delay" of this answer... I would recommend you to get a "15"... the "10" version is a more pedagogic tool... But, it really depends of what you want to do with it... F.

  • yea i want a handsonic thats cheaper so im guessing 10, but is 10 worth it, like does it have a lot of sounnds?

  • ... yes, the "10" has a lot a sound inside, and sure you can have fun with it... it's just that a "15" allows you to create your own set-ups with complexe parametring possibilities (if you think you will spend enough time on it to do this, it's worth it)... if it's just for fun (even serious), take a "10"... good luck... F.

  • thanks for the inspiration dude..i play a hpd-15 on stage, youve opened up a new world for me as far as the possibilites of the instrument go

  • mate - you are a champion of all that is electronic - I'm huge fan!

i've spent hours and hours watching your videos instead of studying for my law exams in 2 days.

you are an awesome artist of cohesive sound - they'd love you at rainbow serpent in aus and all the other pys-trance festival.

i'm about to invest in a kaoss pad 3 - i was wondering as you have both; can you use the Kaoss pad to make the same noises as the Kaossilator? because i never see anyone just making music on the kaossilator

  • Man if Roland has seen-heard of u play...for sure they had no idea u could do this gig..

    And thats U...not the handsonic...

    Creative Skills!!!
