  • Now I want a close up of the cat

  • Is he the only wone who saw the deleted king kong spider pit scene?

  • @TheBookWorm1718 And these people think they're at a party, and the man has them all killed off in the styles of Edgar Allen Poe's stories and when he bricks the last one up inside a wall he tells him their mistake was in burning the books without reading them because if they had, they would've known what he was doing and they wouldn't have blindly walked into their own doom. I like that one because it shows their ignorance leads to their deaths.

  • @pariahtales I got his book A Pleasure to Burn for Christmas, all the short stories that led to him writing Fahrenheit 451, and a lot of them are alike, all books about death were burnt in the future, Poe and Lovecraft, Abrose Bierce, all burnt, and in one story a man creates the House of Usher and invites all the Society of Prevention of Fantasy who has banned Halloween and haunted houses, cont...

  • @sopankim I totally agree, I've always LIKED to read, but I did not really get into heavy reading until after I had read Fahrenheit 451. I was something of a book snob, would not touch classics, thought they were overrated, dumb, I never read (or had to read) Shakespeare through all of school. But I am heavily influenced, I hear somebody mention a book or a movie and I want to know about it, want to see what it's about, so after reading F451 I started expanding what I was willing to read.

  • Clarisse McClellan is most of us, thankfully!

  • @AreteGriego91 Oh totally, I agree...every year it gets worse and kids today are being raised that they don't CARE that they don't learn. They will admit they don't do anything at school except take naps and play games in HIGH SCHOOL, but then they can't explain WHY they bother going every day if they're not learning anything. It's really frustrating, we have 3 of them right next door and they're always bored but never do anything about it and can't figure out HOW to do anything.

  • I love his introduction statement...I think we are heading that way, here in the USA. Please read America, because we are going backwards.

  • Where's the closeup of the cat...
