Swiss Arms PE90 Classic Green Carbine with Aimpoint Micro T1 (5.56 x 45mm NATO)

I got an Aimpoint T1 Micro for this rifle on the recommendation of some other guys that use them. Works great. Co-witnesses with the diopter iron sights. Sits lower than any other optic would on this rifle. A great fit.

Is the cowitness dead on with your irons?

The red dot sits right on top of the front post when using the 100m setting on the diopter. The red dot drops down lower on the front sight post as you turn to the 200, 200 and 400m settings. The reason for this is that the dot is sighted in for 75m on mine. You could get the dot whereever you want it though, depending on how it is sighted in. I am happy with how it set up. The lower 1/3 co-witness thing is not the best. My 9mm AR15 has a "right on the dot" co-witness as well. Best way to go.

It's a Sig 551 short barrel, not a PE90.

I've got one with a Acog TA11 but want to switch to an aimpoint because the Acog is way to high above the bore.

PE stands for Personal Rifle. French call it FASS 90. Its ours as long we pass a annual mandatory shooting program. Ammunition is provided by the Government. ;-)

In Switzerland we call it the Stgw 90= Sturmgewehr 90.

I'm not a fan of the 1/3 method either.

I hear everyone ranting and raving about the Micro line-- looks like it's time to save up the pennies. :)
