Psycho was actually based on a true story. the killer actually did worse things that what was portrayed in the movie.

I've got PSYCHO on super 8mm film - it's good to watch the movie digitally without the projector running like a lawn mower beside your ears. thanks for uploading.

"The bathroom...." Love Hitch's droll sense of humor. I don't think Hitchcock realized what a great artist he was...he was surprised by the popularity of Psycho, which he considered to be a relatively insignificant project. It takes someone of his genius to turn a pulp novel into one of the most powerful horror movies of all time. Due credit should also be given to Bernard Herrmann's brilliant score, which did much to intensify the harrowing mood of the film.
