  • Great lesson. Obviously the main point of evolving licks was important, but what I liked most is when you explained _what is most likely happening_ when you see a guitarist "randomly shred" up and down. That was good guidance.

  • re-purposing riffs is only a small part of improvisation. Also being able to see where you are in a song and playing notes that harmonize, that say something on the fly is a big part too

  • omg... I had to wait for 8:04min to get one useful tip >_<

  • @casazavodu very very ugly guitar -_-

  • ugly guitar

  • Japp.

  • @EmmanuelTromboner it helps more at first to work out what key the progression is in rather than thinking in terms of individual chords. at a more advanced level obviously you'll want to follow the chords, which will essentially mean playing arpeggios, with optional passing notes being taken from the pentatonic scale, or the relevant mode.

if you don't know what key the progression is in, a good rule is to take the first chord - if it's major, use that major scale, if minor, minor

  • svensk? xD

  • this really helped man, thanks :)

  • @TechnicalDifficult he`s Swedish :) im from Norway so :D
