  • continuing on .. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GOOGLE.... BILLY BOAT EXHAUST SYSTEMS...... I WOULD RETURN THAT GIBSON AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK....THATS A REAL SHAME

  • @sooboy1963

    I appreciate other perspectives.

I'm not a mechanical engineer (I'm a civil engineer), but I've always believed that nothing beats a straight pipe out the back to improve flow. I selected the Gibson for the very reason that the muffler is in-line with the exhaust pipe, rather than positioned 180 degrees from the exhaust flow as the stock system and many aftermarkets.

Bottom line: The H3 is still a meager inline 5 engine. Real performance will never be achieved in that engine.

  • @BriCLK is you Hummer H3 the 3.7litter and could you tell me where did you get those exhaust system from and how much did it cost you thanks alot i would appreciate if you would reply to my Question

  • @saeep

I did a lot of shopping around on eBay about a year ago.

I believe the company was MVP Autoparts. But it was an eBay deal.

The BIN price was $599.99. Best deal I could find at the time.

    Good Luck.

  • nice video Uncle Brian

    Hey Dude,

Thanks, I wanted to get the Before and After for my records.

I think the upgrades made a little difference. Not enough, though.

    Have a great week.

  • @BriCLK was that for the exhaust or the intake

  • Did u get a lot of power from the upgrades? Did it make it faster? .. because I'm thinking of geting on but not if its to slow

  • @lsufan9999

I honestly have not checked my fuel mileage. I only drive the H3 on weekends: baseball practices/games, soccer, ski trips, etc. So I'm not that concerned with fuel economy.

If I get some data, I'll post it.

  • How much more MPG do you get with the air intake?

  • continuing on ...i am in the midst of making a video of my mods to my 2006 HUMMER H3...as mentioned with the few mods that i have made to the ENGINE....for exception of alot of extras done to the apperance, i have notice a great increase in performance and fuel economy....I THINK THAT YOU WILL SEE A DECREASE IN FUEL MILLAGE WITH THAT GIBSON UNIT...MY FRIEND HAD ONE INSTALLED ON HIS 06 HUMMER H3 AND TORE IT OFF AND INSTALLED A B&B EXHAUST LIKE MINE....I THINK GIBSON SHOULD STICK TO GUITARS .

  • looks to me like a wistle was gained from the throttle body, and no performance gains from the CAI K&N and no performance or sound note change from the GIBSON....alot of wasted money.....i have new B&B EXHAUST SYSTEM AND A DIRECT FIT K&N FILTER... performance is excellent..sorry about your project ps...the gibson muffler are in stalled before the axle and not in the position where the original muffler was ..and of course,,no new new sound note?...thats terrible....i would complain to them.
