Police Shoot, Kill Armed Man Near US Capitol

A man has been shot dead by police near the U.S. Capitol after refusing to put down a weapon. Authorities say the man sped away in a car after being told to stop. Police say he later brandished a weapon. (July 15)

So about 5 years later the truth appears on wiki links a drunk driver drove away so he would not be caught and rookie cops shot him to death becuase he was near the capitol building.

Actually it's incidents like this that teasers were made for. To be used instead of a gun. The idea is to apprehend the suspect, not kill them.
