All we are required to have over the battery is a rubber mat. I use a old cut up big rig mud flap. I need to post a video on my quick weld together battery hold down. It just bolts to the floor.

I would take some 2 stroke oil with you. If you do have to run the consi. with out a rad. It works as a upper end lube. I think it works. And so do a few others.
