Please read this! Is it possible to shrink the size of the laughing man effect? I don't want it to be larger, just smaller but I don't know what to do. Any help is appreciated!

After loading the "laughing_man.x" file, change the number in the accessory panel's "SI" box. For example, 0.5 is half-size.

can you help?
Ive put everything where it needs to be and have the newest version of mmd, but when i try to open it, an error code appears that says "failed to load default effect file. please check video card capability." do you know how to fix it?

From what I've read, I'm afraid that problem usually is exactly what it says-- your video card is not capable of loading MME. But you can try a few things.
Shut down and turn off your computer, count to five, and turn it back on. After Windows re-starts, try to load MikuMikuEffect immediately, before starting any other programs.
Make sure your download of MME is a good ZIP file. Test the ZIP file and/or download it again.
As a last resort, reinstall the DirectX run-time.
