@wda013 I agree with you. Upwards 200,000 Tibetans died in China's "great leap forward."
I would suppose that he didn't included it though because the occupation of Tibet began in the 1950s, which is you know, 60 years ago; so it's not exactly a modern occupation.

Chomsky....always the apologist for communism. India was NOT a capitalist democracy. From independence in '48 to 1991, India had massive public ownership in its industries and massive regulation & protectionism. Therefore, if India *did* have 100 million people that perished in the same amt of time that Maoist China was in place (1949), the poverty in India would NOT be attributed to "capitalist democracy". Is this guy stupid or just dishonest?
