Also, there are several verses in your precious Bible that depict death as eternal, with no afterlife.

Psalm 31:17, Psalm 88:5 Ecclesiastes 9:5, Ecclesiastes 9:10, Isaiah 38:18.

And there are many other verses that say we are resurrected from the grave:

Isaiah 26:19 (nice contradiction there), Daniel 12:1, Luke 14:14, 1 Corinthians 15:52, Mathew 27:52-53.

The concept of hell didn't even arise until the New Testament. So where was it during the OT?

And how, exactly, is the holy bible a credible source? It's full of contradictions, written by humans hundreds of years ago who thought the world was flat and the earth was created in 6 days. Hell, they even talked of talking snakes, donkeys, and burning bushes. From what I know of science, matter and energy cannot be created, so it stands to reason the universe was always there. What's your rationale for god's existence? The bible? The bible's bullshit; try again.

How do you know that the universe was always here? The proof of God on earth can be found in Romans for the beginner. I don't follow organized religion, it is corrupt, it was designed by man. I study the Holy Bible and its proper translations directly from the Hebrew and Greek scriptures. Yes, I can deny the existence of god. My mother and father created me. I believe the human species evolved from a slug. The earth was formed in the nebulous cloud that created the rest of the solar system. The universe was already here; it merely expanded. We don't know how yet, but that's no reason to give up trying to find the answer and say god did it. Evolution is the result of natural chemical reactions. God is not exist, so he cannot hate anything. The fact that I am here is proof of me.
