It's supposed to sound like that. Emil is meant to be timid and thats why when he fights Ratatosk came to be after he became became Marta's knight and that part is his deep voice.

Emil doesnt sound like Johnny Yong Bosch, but it IS him. He has to sound younger, because Emil is younger than Ichigo or Nero(Devil May Cry 4), who are both played by Johnny Yong Bosch. Actually, when Emil fights, the noises he makes sound like Ichigo and Nero.
