Well, the orangutan is just performing a well learnt trick. He doesn't show any particular intelligence.
Even though he is probably quite intelligent. But you would have to watch him outside of his performance to know.

Y'know, it hardly can be considered slavery in the first place. The Great Apes are intelligent enough to display publicly when they dislike a practice- and when they do, it is a legal obligation for the caretakers to try to tend to the wishes of the creatures, or set them free. Thus is why when that big male orangutan went on that rampage in the zoo (Don't remember where, it was on Uncut and Untamed) they let him to the wild.
This fella clearly enjoys it. ^^ You be the judge.
