  • @edshift @killerroo62 the boats are sailing at tighter angle on a reach towards a wingmark with assymetric kite up, they have no room to bear away as they would miss the mark.

  • First 29er almost dives like a Cat.

  • agreed - bear way to maintain boat trim. An extra gybe will be faster overall. (exception might be if it's a close marginal lay on a mark.)

    Perhaps backing off a tad to make the mark is safer than 100% + squall + capsize. But you defo make frightenening leeway while heeled.like that.

    Conditions dictate.

  • guys just bear away, trap flatter or de-power way more. 29ers should have no more than 10 degrees heel downwind/reaching

  • erm maybe has something to do with a very strong wind....

  • why does no one have their boat flat?

  • 2 neon-impossible days
