Rockbox H10 Preview #2

A second look at rockbox on the iriver H10... because I finally got it back from iriver (it was actually pretty quick :-\)

i dunno if you'll reply to this but i was wonderin if you install rockbox will you still have the normal bootup? i got a h10 a few days ago 20gb for dirt cheap so i want to play vids on it but keep the normal menu

@ShitTheMaster I believe if you use the Rockbox installer it will back up the original firmware. Rockbox completely replaces the firmware on your device. Try it out. If you use the rockbox installer, you can always uninstall :)

Dont get it belive me i have an ipod and the instructions are very hard to follow and they give u no help if somthing gos wrong they just tell you the same thing over and ove my ipod is not working at all anymore so plz for your sake DO NOT DOWNLOAD i no it looks sweet and it probly is for the 2 people who can figure it out

Actually, the iPod installation is a lot more complicated than the H10 installation and the H10 installation is completely safe. The actual bootloader is not replaced, so there are no complicated steps and it's very easy. Many people have installed rockbox on their H10 without any problems. For the few problems that have happened, others have been able to help.

I have installed rockbox on an iPod before, and yes, it is complicated.

MAKE A VIDEO IN DOOM i wanna get a h10 in exchange 4 my mp4 player so i wanna know if it's playable... or just tell me what's the average fps while playing thanx

I have not long installed the latest version on my i river h340 it adds so much more to it including playing games like doom not that its easy to play. best thing is it will dual boot on my iriver i can either use rocbox or iriver firmware .Well worth doing so easy on a h320.

i have rockbox on my sansa e200. it just goes over the current firmware, so when i delete it off of my mp3 it goes back to the way it was when it came out of the box. plus; its really easy to use.
