$16 Million Horse

The Green Monkey was the most expensive thoroughbred race horse ever sold at public auction. I was at the 2006 fasig-tipton select two year old sale and managed to capture this amazing video as he went through the ring and two bidders kept adding $1 Million onto the price. Follow along and enjoy the action, it's quite amazing.

I really didn't understand the hype surrounding this horse because there just wasn't enough horse physically and i still believe Lion Heart and Favorite Trick had better 1/8 mile drills. The Green Monkey later raced and was a failure on the track never even winning a race. He was retired early and currently stands at stud for $5,000.

With that money I would of bought a ranch, a very beautiful ranch, properly built, and very well conditions. Then, rescue as many horses as I can that are being auctioned & bought by "Kill buyers" raise them, and they will be retired on my own PROPERTY, hire proper trust-able staff, and have a charity, which helps rescue horses. Ok deb yes secretariat was an amazing horse he out ran his breeding he however failed misserably in breeding he hardly put out champs n also he is not #1 horse MOW was n always will be because he dominated his sport along with producing amazing offspring n his bloodline is still going strong which includes zenyatta n rachel alexandra black cavier tiznow thats what gets you a long lasting name1
